Living in Florida we are well aware of the dangers associated with hurricanes.
Our group of volunteers will often deploy to natural disasters or post hurricane landfall to assist community members and their pets who have been displaced due to storm damage.
Post storm assistance is required to help people bridge the gap.

Consider volunteering your time to help communities hit with disasters.
We provide FREE volunteer-based transport services to shelters and rescues throughout the East Coast of the U.S. Capacity depends on available transporter(s).
Although our goal is to transport larger breed dogs as they have a harder time being adopted out of the shelter system, we don't discriminate. We have transported many breeds including Chi's, Miniature Pinchers, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Mastiffs, and Labs.
If you are interested in volunteering your time to drive, please reach out to us at ContactUs@pspbrt.org
The Chips iN Pits program that helps enable members of the community to locate their loved ones in the event that they become lost. The last thing anyone wants to hear is that a missing family pet is not microchipped.
We are partnering with local veterinarians to make this happen. Our goal is to microchip 100 Pit Bulls or Large Breed types each year.
Our goal is to get family pets "Back Home Where We Belong".
Often times on transport animals are scared and confused. As a way to help calm them we decided to start providing a toy that they could cuddle with on their journey. This has now grown into a wonderful program where we provide toys and treats to every animal on transport with us.
We are lucky enough to have two great supporters that collect donations for us.
If you would like to help by providing items for our Toys 4 Transport Program we can always use new nylabones, kongs, balls, plush toys, treats, collars, leashes, blankets, etc. or if you are interested in being a donation location, please email us at contactus@pspbrt.org.
You can drop off donations at either location!
Many families are struggling in today's economy and only have enough money to provide basic shelter and food for themselves let alone their family pets.
#TeamPitStop partners with members of the community to collect pet food, treats, and supplies for our Community Food Pantry. Our goal is to help pets stay out of our overwhelmed shelter system.
We accept :
Help us keep family pets out of the shelter.
What is fostering and why should I consider it?
Fostering means bringing in a homeless pet with the goal of nurturing them until a permanent home can be found with a family who’ll love them forever.
Fostering an animal allows shelters to open a space for another animal in need.
As a foster ....
#TeamPitStop has needs for short term or overnight fosters when animals are on transport.
